The story follows six students studying abroad, chasing their dreams and becoming the elites of their respective majors. Shu Che and Miao Ying were originally a couple, but Shu Che’s father forced them to separate, seeing how her family doesn’t benefit his side at all. He then meets Xiao Qing, a smart and independent girl who rises to the top based on her own efforts. The two fall in love but a crisis comes their way. Shu Che becomes involved in exposing his dad’s criminal activity and Xiao Qing is caught in between as a witness. Ultimately, the culprit is revealed and there’s a heavy price to pay. Everyone grows up in the process, understanding humanity and the value of life, returning to the path of justice.
Another great drama and story ! I recommend this drama especially because it discusses many subjects as far as the Chinese community is concerned, in China and outside China (in the US in this case). I like how Chinese people express their feeling about having to deal with some stereotypes when they live in foreign countries; for example, working in a Chinese restaurant, having to deal with visa procedures to study abroad etc. This story is about love and so but it also includes many story lines which show us a side of the Chinese society that we don’t know. There is the corruption part, about a government’s official who accept bribes from a rich entrepreneur which shows us that nobody’s perfect. I mean for someone like me who is really amazed by China and its evolution, it’s good to know that there is more to the story, if I can put it that way… Anyway, I might watch the drama again as usual I always watch these dramas twice especially to check my improvement in listening comprehension so enjoy !
I don’t have anything else to say except that the two lead actors (Luo Jin and Tiffany Tang) got married at the end of the year 2018 and I was very happy for them. I’ve been following them along their career together and I’m very proud of their achievements and good vibes they send to their fans.
It starts off with high school classmates Chen Xiao Xi and Jiang Chen who are also neighbors. Xiao Xi, a cheerful girl who doesn’t study much, is expressive about her admiration towards Jiang Chen, the popular guy known for his looks and high grades. Together with their fellow classmates the funny Lu Yang, athletic but loyal Jingjing, and cool swimming team member Wu Bo Song, they embark on high school life to university until their adult life.
It’s definitely a 10/10, being the cutest drama I’ve seen this year… If you want to dream and have fantasies over the genuine, pure, selfless Love we’re all yearning for, well, this drama is for you.
Chen Xiao Xi is in love and she will scream it to the World. She’s maybe not perfect, smart or gifted with any talent but she knows how to go after what she truly wants and especially who she truly loves: Jiang Chen. He is tall, smart, shuai, mature and wishes to become a doctor. They live in the same building and spend a lot of time together but he doesn’t love her back until she starts to befriend the amazing swimmer Wu Bo Song. And I think this is the part that led me to the end of this drama. Men might all be the same at some point, it’s unbelievable! You know when your ex starts to call you back just because you’ve moved on? LMAO That’s exactly the same when you love a guy and he doesn’t show you any interest but the moment there’s another guy who shows you the kindness you deserve then you’ll see rivalry at its peak ! It’s pretty funny to see how things turn out for the best for Xiao Xi so go on an check it out !
In 1998, Zhang Changgong gets his first taste of success as a developer in an IT company. At the same time, he meets and falls in love with Li Muzi, a kind and intelligent university student. Unfortunately the IT industry soon faces an economic crisis, and Zhang Changgong is left unemployed. With the help of his friends and family, Changgong faces the challenges head on, and eventually becomes a top-selling author.
To court her, he wrote 137 love letters in a year, exceeding 1 million Chinese characters. To guard her, he created 16 novels with more than 40 million words, working a wonder of internet literature. This is the love story that unfolded for 16 years already between Tang Jian Shao and his wife. ~ Novel Summary
Well, I feel like all these Chinese dramas have the same storyline but there is something different about this one because it’s all about two Youngsters madly in love who are trying to make some changes for the better. They work hard together despite the economic crisis they are facing and more, Muzi’s mother who wants her daughter to be marrying a man of the same background.
I really loved this story because I guess, just like me, a lot of girls are looking for that man whose going to be there for them no matter what and fight together for a living, to live a better Life. A fantasy I guess…
Main lead: Sun Yi (Zhang Guo Guo), Deng Lun (Li Yun Kai), Wu You (Zhang Yu Xin), Dai Chao (Li Yun Zhe)
Zhang Guo Guo grew up in a Wonton shop and is also the food-delivery girl for the town. Although she did not receive high education, she is loved by her neighborhood because of her enthusiastic and sincere personality. But what people don’t know is that Guo Guo is actually a famous embroidery workshop boss‘s daughter, and an accident caused her to grow up in the small town.
Guo Guo has a unique talent when it comes to embroidery. Guo Guo is very grateful for Wang Aiyu for raising her, so she views Wang Ai Yu’s biological daughter, Zhang Yu Xin, as her own family. On the road to pursuing their dreams, the two girls meet brothers Li Yun Kai and Li Yun Zhe, and love blossoms.
Another beautiful drama seen in 2017… I’ve already watched it twice and I might start to watch it again after writing this article… Even though it’s the typical drama story, everything was perfectly said and done, I have no major comments except that I met another great actor Deng Lun, who has been particularly popular this year with several dramas. I mentioned him in the post about “Ode to Joy”, in which he played in 2016.
I also got to meet Sun Yi playing Zhang Guo Guo. She is extremely beautiful, I mean they’re all beautiful but she has a special beauty, she’s like no other (cf photo). I think she’s a newbie because usually when I really like an actress, I look for her previous dramas and I found none when it comes to her so let’s see if she’ll have more opportunities in the future.
She has a strong connection with Deng Lun as they act as childhood sweethearts. The story is truly moving, I was crying at times especially when she’s rejected by her stepsister and when her foster mother never shows her any affection. One thing we can say is that she learned it the hard way and that’s why she later becomes a successful and beautiful woman; she’s humble despite the fact that she is actually from a wealthy family. I really admire this type of person whether in dramas or in real life, people with this kind of character and energy really tend to impress me. In fact, I’m not impressed by money, luxury whatsoever, and it’s a pity that people nowadays only pretend to be somebody else. Anyway, I will award a 100 points to this drama and I highly recommend it to anybody who needs to learn more about what’s truly important in Life.
Main lead: Dilraba Dilmurat (Li Hui Zhen), Peter Sheng (Bai Hao Yu)
Li Huizhen was a pretty girl when she was young, but years of hardship have taken a toll on her physical appearance. Her childhood friend, Bai Haoyu was short and chubby, but grew up to be successful and attractive. 12 years later, Haoyu tracks down Huizhen to reconnect with her. They decided to meet, but Haoyu was unable to recognize Huizhen. Embarrassed by her looks and situation, Huizhen sends her stylish best friend, Xia Qiao to appear in her place. Things turn complicated when Huizhen lands an internship at a fashion magazine company she’s been wanting to get into, and finds out that Haoyu is her new boss. Not knowing her true identity, Haoyu openly berates her clumsy nature. Meanwhile, Huizhen’s colleague, Lin Yimu falls in love with her, and Xia Qiao also begin to develop feelings for Haoyu.
Same old Same old, if you’ve been reading my posts about some american love stories that I really loved, then you will find some similarities here… Hui Zhen and Baoyu, the kind of love that I used to yearn for, they met each other in primary school, they fell in love and parted ways then Baoyu come back and looks for Hui Zhen… It’s a bit like the popular american TvShow Ugly Betty, the ugly assistant working in a Fashion Magazine or again the German version with Lisa Plenske. How is this story different? Well, I will mention the BEST FRIEND Xiao Qiao who is beautiful, rich and a fashion killer. Baoyu mistook her for Hui Zhen because of a physical appearance, let’s be honest have you seen the real Hui Zhen? (cf photos) Hui Zhen was so embarrassed as the little fatty boy turned out to be this handsome and remarkable man, she couldn’t face him… so she asked Xiao Qiao to take her place as Hui Zhen and get rid of Baoyu.
As the story unfolds, Xiao Qiao starts to fall in love with him and he starts to fall in love with the real Hui Zhen, the clumsy and ugly assistant. This story wa so cute and what I found cuter is that Hui Zhen may not be rich or beautiful, she has a kind heart, she is positive about her life and has hope. She neither envy nor hate her best friend even when Xiao Qiao starts to fall in love with Baoyu and sees him without telling her the truth…
